This method is applicable to any of the reservoirs that attach (plug on) directly to the Eheim pumps... Step 1: Unscrew stock intake fitting from pump. Step 2: Pull off gray plastic end cover. Set the stock fitting a gray cover aside since they won't be needed for this setup. The pump's intake stem is now exposed as shown below:
Step 3: Line up pump's intake stem with the "Plugon" tank's 2cm opening. Make sure the tank's two rubber O rings are in place. The O rings make for a water-tight seal.
Step 4: With a slight clockwise twisting motion insert the pump's intake stem into the tank's opening. Twisting counter-clockwise will unclasp the intake stem from the pump's housing. If this happens just twist it back in place. Align the tank vertically and you're done!
