TD2 Configuration Tips

___________________________________________

Detailed instructions are included with each TD2 ordered...

Setting of the DIP-Switches:

Dipswitches 1 to 4 (from the left) set the Frequency.
Dipswitches 5 to 8 (from the left) set the Voltage.

Key:

+ means dipswitch to upper position (+)
- means dipswitch to lower position (-)

There is a neutral position in the center, between + and -.
This position IS NOT USED. Although the switches have a very solid feel, be careful when setting them.

How To Connect the TD2 to the Athlon

Before you can install the TD2, you need to remove the plastic case from the Athlon. For detailed information on removing the Athlon’s case, and TD2 installation, read our guide in the "How To Guides" section.  Or, visit the manufacturer at: www.innovatek.de

CAUTION! Overclocking the CPU can be hazardous to its health. Use the TD2 at your own risk. Neither HighSpeed PC nor its owners take responsibility for any losses or damages due to the use of the TD2.

Removing the case from your Athlon will void any warranty on it.

Once the plastic case is removed, it is recommended that you change the switch settings BEFORE attaching it to the CPU. And, follow these recommended steps.

1) Set the TD2 to your CPU’s default clock speed (switches 1-4)

2) Set the TD2 to your CPU’s standard core voltage settings (switches 5-8)

3) Attach the TD2 to the internal connector. The side of the TD2 with the dipswitches has to face the direction of the heatsink. Make sure that the TD2 is seated securely on the connector.

4) Test your PC. Power it up and watch it boot up normally. Power it down.

5) Start to increase the speed in increments of 50 MHz to see where your cpu will be stable. Run some apps, games, benchmark programs and such at each level to test stability. When things start acting goofy (won't boot into Windows, crashes, errors, etc.) up the voltage 0.05v and test again. (I wouldn't go more than .2 volts over default)
